These locks are identical/near-identical replacements for the original locks. However, you should be aware the cam (small tab that pivots to secure the box when key is turned) is not provided with these locks (you have to reuse the part from the original lock). Also, if you are replacing locks on units with the thinner, stamped metal doors (as opposed to the thicker, aluminum plate doors) you will likely need to install a washer to reduce some of the resulting space. Finally, the "dustshutter" on these units swings backward (like a hinged door) rather than sliding to the side (similar to a pocket door) making them less prone to jamming. A good feature.
