1st Ever Parking Lot Sale Was A Success!

We just had our 1st ever parking lot sale here at our headquarters and it was a huge success! The weekend of Sept. 29th and Sept. 30th, we were opened from 8AM to 5PM. If you were lucky enough and are from Southern California, you were able to visit our headquarters and save tons on this very special occasion.

We had people from all over Southern California come visit to take advantage of our huge savings. Our gun safes were our most popular seller. We had police officers come through to check out the safes. They couldn’t resist since the safes were selling for more than 50% off their retail price. Could you imagine saving at least $500 off the retail price?! Our safes were literally coming off the lot one by one. We had a great turn out, with over 150+ visitors and selling more than 100+ safes. Thanks to everyone who came to visit and was able to come away with an excellent safe! We appreciate all your help and support.

We sold a wide variety of safes, most of them that only had minor scratches, dents and factory blemishes. They were all in 100% working condition and some of them without their original packaging. Any person that came through that weekend stumbled upon a huge goldmine of safes. Every customer loved the fact that the safes were constructed of 100% steel. They weren’t purchasing a plastic or cheap safe. They knew they were purchasing a solid steel constructed safe that can last them a lifetime.

MESA MBF & MSC Series Burglary & Fire Safes Now In Stock!

We’ve received a new inventory of MESA MBF & MSC Series safes. You may have noticed that the MESA MBF Series burglary and fire safes are no longer in the sandstone finish that we previously have sold. MESA has introduced a brand new design and finish to their already existing popular safe. The biggest change you’ll see is the new elegantly glossy coated, smooth charcoal-gray finish. This new color is very simple, yet provides a clean and beautiful look that can complement any household or office. The front door also has a different look, adding a nice border that connects to the MESA logo, giving it a sense of MESA’s own style.

Aside from the look and color, the MBF Series safes still provide the same exact features as before. Nothing has changed in providing quality, protection and security. Why fix it when it’s not broke? That only means with the same security features including two-hour fire protection and high-strength steel that these safes will surely sell out again. AmVaultX6 High Security Safes Now Available On SecurityBase.com!

Need the ultimate protection in high security storage? Well look no further because we now have AMSEC’s new and heavyweight high security composite safes in stock and available on our online store! Just like the rest of AMSEC’s safes, they are manufactured and built in the United States. They have also been tested for quality assurance passing the Underwriter’s Laboratories standard procedures. These safes may cost you a pretty penny, but in the long run, if you need the absolute best and a heavy-duty safe, then it doesn’t get closer than this. The AmVaultX6 is constructed with a three-inch defense barrier of inner and outer steel plates. In addition to it’s thick and dense barrier it is enclosed with interlocking heavy-duty steel. Here are some other details about the AmVaultX6 High Security Safes:

  • Feature a two-hour 350°F factory fire rating and tested at temperatures of up to 1850°F. The ability to withstand against fires for two hours offer far more protection than most safes. Some safes only offer 30-minutes to an hour of fire protection.
  • The locking mechanism is equipped with six to ten massive 1.5” diameter chrome plated, solid steel locking bolts. Each bolt is then inserted in between the body’s protected exterior and their respective bolt chambers. Most safes offer the standard 1” diameter bolts, but these bolts are far larger for extra security.

Over $500K Worth of Stolen Gems In Jewelry Store Heist

Could you imagine a heist or criminal operation as critical as this? This is the type of scenario you see in movies. You could have never imagined this to happen in real life, but it did. That’s probably what frightens us the most, the fact that sometimes movies are never too far from becoming a reality.

The manager of Steve Quick Jeweler, Dana Sullivan, was surprised to what she saw when she arrived to work on Wednesday morning. Not your ordinary sighting at work, she discovered a large hole behind the store’s safe. As a jewelry business, they know to invest in a high security safe, but it didn’t matter in this case. The TL-30 Rated Safe weighed in at about two tons, almost impossible for any thief to remove it from it’s place without being caught.  These types of safes can also withstand attacks from professional thieves and experts for at least 30 minutes. However, the thieves were able to find a weak spot.

Sullivan says, “Everything was fine until I opened the door and saw there was dust everywhere. I thought the ceiling had fallen in. I couldn’t figure out what was happening. I looked around the corner and saw the hole.” Steve Quick, the owner of the business for 25 years, believes it could have been an inside job. “They knew what they were doing and what’s got us spooked is that they circumvented our security system, which is state of the art, or they had some sort of information,” Quick said.

The thieves began their operation on Tuesday evening where they raided a sushi restaurant located right next door. From there, they were able to break down through the wall at the same location, where they could finally reach the safe. The safe was located in the back inside a small office, which is right next to Quick’s desk. “So they were able to stay under my desk, tunnel under, and if you go in back, you can see the hole in the bottom of the safe,” Quick said.

The burglars were able to remain undetected from surveillance because that was the only area not monitored by cameras or motion detectors. That issue was immediately resolved once they figured it out. Once they were able to cut into the bottom of the safe, they gained access to its bottom shelves. “And then these were some of the storage containers we used to keep the gems in, and they were able to crush these and pull them out through that small hole, all of them containing gems, there was a gem collection that we’ve been collecting for 25 years, so it’s a pretty devastating loss,” Quick said.

In light of the situation, Quick says that they are fully insured and that none of the jewelry stolen belonged to any of their customers. “Everything is accounted for, the only things that are missing belonged to us,” Quick said.

After a huge loss, the staff is now busy making sure to account for all the inventory of the merchandise. As disappointed and saddened Quick is, he says that it comes within the territory of being in the jewelry business. “We’ve had armed robberies, we do everything we can, we take security very seriously, but there are people out there, and once in a while they succeed,” he said. The Chicago police have yet to make any arrests in this case.
