1st Ever Parking Lot Sale Was A Success!

October 1st, 2012

We just had our 1st ever parking lot sale here at our headquarters and it was a huge success! The weekend of Sept. 29th and Sept. 30th, we were opened from 8AM to 5PM. If you were lucky enough and are from Southern California, you were able to visit our headquarters and save tons on this very special occasion.

We had people from all over Southern California come visit to take advantage of our huge savings. Our gun safes were our most popular seller. We had police officers come through to check out the safes. They couldn’t resist since the safes were selling for more than 50% off their retail price. Could you imagine saving at least $500 off the retail price?! Our safes were literally coming off the lot one by one. We had a great turn out, with over 150+ visitors and selling more than 100+ safes. Thanks to everyone who came to visit and was able to come away with an excellent safe! We appreciate all your help and support.

We sold a wide variety of safes, most of them that only had minor scratches, dents and factory blemishes. They were all in 100% working condition and some of them without their original packaging. Any person that came through that weekend stumbled upon a huge goldmine of safes. Every customer loved the fact that the safes were constructed of 100% steel. They weren’t purchasing a plastic or cheap safe. They knew they were purchasing a solid steel constructed safe that can last them a lifetime.

We were left with little inventory at the end. Most of our visitors have heard us through advertisements, craigslist or those who subscribed to our newsletter. If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest update on products, promotions, discounts and events, sign up here.

Our 1st Parking Lot Sale wouldn’t have been a success without our excellent staff members, who took the time out of their weekend to help with the event. Expect another parking lot sale in the near future! See more photos below of the event!

We’ve brought in a whole new line of MF Series U.L. Those new models are the MF30E, MF35E, MF50E, MF53E, MF60E, MF70E and MF75E. Each model has the same features and offers the same protection. Some of those features include a 1-Hour fire rating, steel door enclosed with fire-resistant material, battery-operated electronic lock and an emergency key system used to bypass the electronic keypad in case you lose your code or if your batteries die.

In addition to the MF series high security and simple design, these safes are very affordable and inexpensive. You won’t find a better deal than MESA’s MF Series that features at least a 1-hour fire protection, steel construction and solid steel bolts to prevent theft, at this price range. These safes are ideal for any homeowner wanting to secure and store their valuables such as classified documents, family photos, passports, cash, jewelry and other sensitive materials. The MF Series Fire Safes are also great for those who live in areas where homes are in potential danger of fires, especially during the summer season.

Like with any other safe, MF series has kept burglary and theft in mind. Each safe includes solid steel live locking bolts for added security. It even has two dead bolts that will prevent door removal if the hinges are removed during forced entry. The safe doesn’t just count on a combination lock to ensure safety and security, but it comes with an electronic lock for additional protection. An anchor hole is also provided and located at the bottom of the safe to place it permanently in one location preventing removal of the safe. For delicate and fragile items, the inside of the safe is carpeted with a durable grey fabric preventing damage to your items.

There are only a couple differences with each model. A few of the main differences are the dimensions and weight. The MF30E, MF35E, and MF50E are the smaller of the series. The MF30E is the smallest safe with exterior dimensions of: Height: – 11.75” x Width: 16.5” x Depth: 14.25” and weighs in at 60 pounds. The MF35E has larger dimensions and weighs 90 pounds. The MF50E comes next weighing in only 5 pounds more at 95 pounds.  These small safes are great for storing small items such as watches, cash, passports, cellphones, photos, necklaces, rings, diamonds and other small expensive or rare items.

Then we have the middle-sized safes in the MF53E and MF60E. The MF53E exterior dimensions are: Height – 20.875” x Width: 18.25” x Depth 18.875” and weighs 165 pounds. This is the only safe that features an interior light when you open the safe. When it’s dark and you’re looking for a specific item, the interior light will help guide you. Then there’s the MF60E that is three inches bigger in height than the MF53E and weighs 185 pounds. However, this safe does not feature an interior light. These mid-sized safes are wonderful for media devices, small trophies, jewelry, documents and more.

Last, we have the heavyweight safes in the MF70E and MF75E. The MF70E exterior dimensions are: Height – 27.5” x Width: 19.625” x Depth: 18.875” and weighs 220 pounds. Should the unexpected happen, and your home is in threat of a potential wildfire or break-in, then you’ll be relieved to know that you have protection to ease yourself from all the stress. Check out the new MF Series Fire Safes and see if they’re the right safe for you.

Floor Safes Provide Excellent Hidden Protection

June 13th, 2012

We have a wide variety of safes available in our online store. Whether you need a safe for traveling, home or business use, we carry the type of safe you need. If you intend on hiding and concealing your safe, then we recommend looking into purchasing a floor safe. Floor safes provide excellent hidden protection from theft and burglary. Keep intruders and robbers guessing, as your safe is hidden from sight.

Just like wall safes, floor safes are installed into the floor rather than in your wall. The advantage of having a floor safe installed into the floor rather than the wall is that your safe has an extra barrier of protection and is more difficult to remove. Instead of being installed in wall where it’s only protected by mostly dry wall, floor safes are usually installed into a concrete floor. That means the safe is protected by a solid concrete barrier as well as having a solid steel frame. This makes it difficult for any thief from cracking the safe open through any side of the safe. Plus the ability to conceal the safe makes it almost impossible for any intruder to find.

That’s one of the main reasons why people choose to purchase a floor safe. They don’t intend on moving the safe very often and most prefer to keep it in one place. The most common places some people leave their safe is in their bedroom, office, basement, attic or garage. The only problem with keeping your safe there is that it’s visible and is where most burglars and thieves look. The first place a thief will look is in the master bedroom, raiding inside your closet. Although most thieves won’t dare to crack open a safe while inside your home, they’ll do the next best thing, try to take it with them. Most thieves will do anything they can to get inside, so they’ll steal the whole safe and bring it back home, where they’ll have more time to crack it open without being caught. That’s one of the main advantages to having a floor safe. A thief isn’t able to steal your floor safe, and that’s if they find it first.

Other great advantages to having a floor safe is that it provides excellent fire protection. In case of a fire emergency such as wildfires, cooking or electrical accidents, your safe will stay intact mainly because it’s surrounded by concrete, but is also inside of the floor where it’s less exposed to high temperatures or contact with fire. Not only are they resistant to fires, but other natural disasters such as floods, tornadoes and hurricanes. Some floor safes do provide a waterproof dust cover to prevent any moisture or water from seeping through the door of the safe. But most of the time, with anything that is installed within the floor, you always want to protect your valuables from moisture to prevent rust, corrosion or mildew. That’s why also protecting any of your valuables with a waterproof container or a dehumidifier would be ideal inside your floor safe.

The most common items to put into a floor safe are jewelry, cash, documents, handguns, photos and small collectibles. Larger items such as shotguns, paintings or trophies may need a larger safe. The floor safe is perfect for anyone that wants to secure extra cash, gold, gems, necklaces, precious metals and other rare items because they’re compact enough to fit into a floor safe as well as keeping it away from thieves. Keeping handguns and small weapons such as knives are also recommended to prevent any accidents and children from accessing them. It keeps your weapons hidden from any intruders and thieves, as well as keeping you and your family safe.

A floor safe can be a great commodity for either your home or business. It’s inexpensive and affordable, yet provides the great quality you’ve come to expect. Although installation into a concrete floor can take some time and effort, when properly installed, you’ll finally have the peace of mind you deserve. Most floor safes come with a U.L. Listed Group II combination lock, with over 1 million possible combinations. They also feature locking bolts that prevent the door from being opened through forced entry. As with all our safes, it’s constructed from heavy-duty steel, providing durability and strength to last a lifetime.

Group of Professional Thieves Arrested For Multiple Break-Ins

March 9th, 2012

For the majority of the time, if you have the necessary security equipment to protect yourself, your home or business, you’ll be able to keep thieves and attackers at bay. However, their will always be someway a thief will get around your security. That shouldn’t keep you from investing in high security because most of the time, it’ll save your valuables and even your life.

In rare cases though, there are professional thieves who know their way around security. They know how to stay under the radar without being caught. Usually, they’re in groups, to help guide each other along the way, and they always carry the right tools.

Recently, police have caught five suspects who were all involved in multiple thefts and break-ins. Police say that these burglars knew how to cut the exact wires to keep the alarms from going off. They even used some high-tech equipment such as scanners to keep a lookout on police transmissions. They also planned ahead of time for locations and a variety of different vehicles that were never registered to them. These experts were not kidding around and knew what they were doing. All their illegal activities kept stacking up, as they were able to raid businesses and storefronts all over South Shore.  Eventually, everything traced right back to them and the police say that the charades are finally over.

The police have arrested three Weymouth residents and two other men from Hull last week by a multi-department task force that has solved three break-ins and could have solved many more.  The men arrested were all in their early-mid 30’s.  They were charged in thefts that were taken place last month in Quincy, Hingham and Brighton. “They’re still under investigation for a lot of crimes throughout our region,” said Marshfield police Capt. Phil Tavares, who also leads the Old Colony Police Anti-Crime Task Force.

In took about two weeks of police surveillance and investigation until they were able to arrest the individuals. The investigators said they broke into businesses after they have been closed and made sure to cover up any evidence of their break-in. They would seek out safes and standalone ATMs in the robbery.

“They have been doing this for quite some time, we believe,” Quincy police Lt. John Steele said. “In the past year they’ve been able to get well into six figures worth of cash out of various businesses throughout the South Shore and Boston area.”

On Feb. 17th, the police say that the group broke their way into a men’s room of a gas station after it was closed. From there they were able to gain access to the office by busting down a wall where they broke into a safe and stole thousands of dollars, Steele said. As they smashed the window to escape was when the alarm triggered.

A little over a week after the 1st burglary, two of the men in the group broke into a carwash where they destroyed electrical and alarm boxes and then raided the office and file cabinets. They also stole two guns that were contained inside a wall safe. Hingham police Sgt. Steven Dearth says that the two Beretta semiautomatic pistols were fully loaded still haven’t been recovered. They were stored inside a safe and were registered to an employee of the car wash, he said.

When the police arrested the group of men and searched the vehicle they were driving in, they found a pry bar, screwdrivers and a police scanner. One of the suspects already had a significant criminal track record with outstanding warrants for his arrest and was out on bail for charges.

It made it tough for police officials to track down these thieves as they traveled all over the place. They needed help and evidence from every task force that included towns from Quincy, Weymouth, Hingham, Marshfield, Rockland, Scituate, Hanover, Norwell, Braintree and State Police investigators assigned to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office. Boston Police were involved in the arrest and Brighton break-in investigation. “This was an example of what law enforcement has had to do to keep up with the times,” Steele said. “Criminals now go all over the place, into all sorts of different jurisdictions, and this collaborative effort really made this whole thing come together.”
