Sharp Increase in Gun Violence, Do You Lock Up Your Guns in a Safe?

A recent shooting in a Houston area college has added to the long list of recent school shootings.

It is tragic to see how some individuals are choosing to express their anger and frustration by inflicting harm on others. Rather than be a reactive community, we need to work to be more proactive and take preventative actions to secure the guns we personally own. We are all responsible for our own – proper storage of our guns could make it more difficult for children to obtain these weapons.

Just like the rest of AMSEC’s safes, they are manufactured and built in the United States. They have also been tested for quality assurance passing the Underwriter’s Laboratories standard procedures. These safes may cost you a pretty penny, but in the long run, if you need the absolute best and a heavy-duty safe, then it doesn’t get closer than this. Here are some of the specifications and features that this safe has to offer.

The AmVaultX6 is constructed with a three-inch defense barrier of inner and outer steel plates. In addition to it’s thick and dense barrier it is enclosed with interlocking heavy-duty steel. Inside is high strength concrete that surpasses 12,000 PSI and a high-density high-strength ceramic matrix. Here are some other details about the AmVaultX6 High Security Safes:

Feature a two-hour 350°F factory fire rating and tested at temperatures of up to 1850°F. The ability to withstand against fires for two hours offer far more protection than most safes. Some safes only offer 30-minutes to an hour of fire protection.
The locking mechanism is equipped with six to ten massive 1.5” diameter chrome plated, solid steel locking bolts. Each bolt is then inserted in between the body’s protected exterior and their respective bolt chambers. Most safes offer the standard 1” diameter bolts, but these bolts are far larger for extra security.

A new AMSEC gun safe has just arrived and is in stock in our online shop. Model TF7240 is now ready to order alongside with the other TF Series gun safes. The main feature the TF7240 offers is it’s wide body safe, in addition to the TF Series original features. The TF Series offers exceedingly affordable value without sacrificing quality and craftsmanship. Remember, AMSEC Safes are made in the U.S.A. and are California Department Of Justice Approved.

The TF7240 gun safe offers a Mercury Class I rating, meaning it offers 30 minutes of fire resistant protection of temperatures up to 1200°F. It is designed to maintain an interior temperature of less than 350°F, making sure your documents, photographs, jewelry and other valuables stay intact without warping under the intense heat coming through from the outside. To enhance and protect from the extreme heat are the Palusol door seal. It expands up to 8 times its original thickness when exposed to high temperatures, acting as a second barrier of protection.

As always, AMSEC safes are built of quality steel. The TF7240’s body is constructed of 12-gauge solid steel plate with a fire insulating material.
